Sales & Financial Analyst

**Role**:
Reporting jointly to the VP Finance and Chief Sales Officer, the Senior Sales & Financial Analyst leverages their advanced analytical skills and business acumen to provide strategic insights, identify sales trends, and optimize revenue performance. The position will be responsible for preparing sales forecasts based on current economic conditions and market intelligence and will play a key role in driving decision making by transforming complex data into actionable recommendations that align with company goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Budget/forecast volumes and pricing based on historical sales data, market trends, strategic initiatives and competitor performance.
- Analyze historical sales data and future projections to determine where to move company product for the highest value.
- Collaborate with finance and sales teams to develop and maintain accurate sales forecast.
- Collaborate with finance and sales teams to understand accounts receivable aging and advise on collection performance against different customer / product segments.
- Track sales performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and their drivers.
- Conduct pricing analysis to support competitive strategies and assess impact on margins.
- Monitor product line performance and recommend pricing or sales adjustments to maximize profitability.
- Identify and implement process improvements for more efficient sales operations and reporting.
- Analyze sales and financial documents, recording information and verifying transactions.
- Leverage tools to automate reporting and improve access to real-time data.
- Coordinate accounting functions and reports as related to billing and accounts receivable.
- Analyze financial reports and report back to the Executives.
- Help maintain effective internal controls.
- Perform year end duties, assisting with annual audit preparations as related to revenue recognition and billings.
- Liaise with external auditors as required.
- Perform other analytical duties and supporting junior staff as required.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- 5+ years of senior level accounting experience.
- Excellent ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of sales cycles, market segmentation principles, and pricing strategies.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and driving solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
