**Company Overview**

**Summary**

We are looking for an **Estimator** to support our Business Development and Project teams in achieving strategic growth objectives. Under the supervision of our Business Development Director, the Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates by analyzing tender documents, specifications, and drawings. This role coordinates with our project management team, suppliers and subcontractors to support project bids and ensure reliable cost planning.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform estimates using APG’s custom’s estimating tool;
- Analyze tender documents and prepare bids & RFP’s;
- Review specifications for take-offs and quantity calculations;
- Conduct periodic site visits during the bidding period;
- Research and evaluate project costs;
- Request and follow up on quotes from subcontractors and/or suppliers;
- Analyze and compare received quotes;
- Prepare preliminary work schedules;
- Periodically assist project managers/directors in estimating additional work or any other related estimation tasks;
- Participate in internal kick-off meetings to share relevant information about the specifications to ensure the project's smooth progression and profitability.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
- Technical training in engineering technology or engineering;
- Valid driver's license;
- Availability to periodically travel to sites in Canada and USA;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel;
- Proficiency in estimating software an asset;
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
