Retail Store Manager

Brand New Florist & Cutural Art Crafts Store located in Vancouver

Job Responsibilities：
- **Sales and Customer Service**:

- Greet customers and provide assistance in selecting floral arrangements, plants, and art crafts items.
- Take orders over the phone, online, or in-person and process transactions accurately.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service and personalized attention.
- **Floral Design and Arrangement**:

- Create floral arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces according to customer preferences and seasonal trends.
- Ensure that all floral designs adhere to the shop's quality standards and artistic guidelines.
- Stay updated on current floral design trends, techniques, and flower varieties.
- Train and supervise floral design staff, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Monitor inventory levels of flowers, plants, vases, and other supplies.
- Place orders with wholesalers and suppliers to replenish stock in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of perishable floral products to minimize waste.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to track product availability and identify any discrepancies.
- **Operational Management**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop, including display areas and workspaces.
- Coordinate with delivery personnel to ensure accurate and timely delivery of floral arrangements to customers.
- Manage scheduling for floral design staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
- Implement and enforce shop policies and procedures related to safety, hygiene, and customer service.
- **Marketing and Promotion**:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Participate in local community events, trade shows, and bridal expos to showcase the shop's products and services.
- Utilize social media platforms and online marketing channels to showcase floral designs, promote special offers, and engage with customers.
- **Leadership **& **Staff Management**:

- Supervise and mentor other store staff members
- Provide training and ongoing support to ensure that all team members are knowledgeable about products, services, and customer service protocols.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to optimize productivity and workflow within the shop.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth and development among staff members.
- Address any staffing issues or conflicts in a timely and appropriate manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and mutual respect among staff members.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
- Proven experience in floral design and arrangement, preferably in a retail or floral shop setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of flower varieties, seasonal availability, and care techniques.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Mandarin proficiency, or extensive knowledge of Asian culture or Buddalism an asset

**Salary**:
The salary offered will be based on qualifications and experience. Hourly wage will range from $26 to $35 with the potential for bonuses or commissions based on sales performance.

**Salary**: $26.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:
