Human Relations Officer

SERVICE: CLSC - Intervention Against Violence
STATUS: Permanent full-time
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Head of Program (Youth and Family)
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

MANDATE:
The Human Relations Officer exercises activities of conceptualization, orientation, actualization, analysis, and evaluation in one or more social programs. Realizes psychosocial interventions with an interdisciplinary philosophy and collaborates at different levels in the programming of activities in the service to which he/she is assigned and to the evaluation of quality. Participates in promotion and prevention programs. The position is based in Kuujjuaq, however the incumbent provides his services, as per needs, in all communities under UTHC responsibility.

FUNCTIONS:
Implement the services of a Designated Center on the Ungava coast
Ensure the organization and operation of the Center
Write a medical social legal intervention protocol for the UTHC
Ensuring the training of stakeholders in relation to the intervention protocol
Counselling with clients (youth and adults) dealing with various issues related to sexual violence
Clinical work in an individual, family or group context
Participate in sexual abuse prevention activities (ex: Good Touch Bad Touch, etc.)
Participate in the 24/7 psychosocial emergency services
Support stakeholders from different points of services
Perform all other related duties as requested by his immediate superior

**Qualifications**
Must hold a Bachelor's degree degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychoeducation, Sexology or Criminology
Have relevant experience working with victims of sexual assault
Project organization / services implementation experience
Fluent in English and French (spoken & written), knowledge of Inuktitut would be an asset
Capacity to work within a multidisciplinary team and interest in sharing knowledge and experience with co-workers
Capacity to establish a therapeutic relationship with clients of the population served
Organized, initiative, and autonomous
Valid driver’s licence
Available to travel in the North

**Conditions and benefits**
SALARY: Min: $ 947.80 Max: $ 1, 679.30
ISOLATION PREMIUM: $203.66 /week or more according to family status
CARGO PREMIUM: 74.17$/ week, or more according to family status
RETENTION PREMIUM : 114.99$/WEEK

Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometres from the locality in which she is called upon to perform her duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per status. Shared lodging or transit if necessary.
