Nestled atop the 12th floor, in Calgary’s vibrant west-end, overlooking the majestic Bow River, **Bow & Bend** brings the outdoors in as the Bow’s gentle bends mirror the tranquility of this signature 150-seat rooftop restaurant and bar. **ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY**

Primary accountabilities include:

- Consistently providing the highest quality of service to our customers and staff alike, setting a shining example for our team.
- Leading and maintaining operations by preparing standard operating procedures, implementing production, productivity, quality and guest service standards, determining and initiating improvements as necessary.
- Monitoring customer satisfaction, auditing food, beverage and service offerings, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
- Working collaboratively with the Head Chef as a direct report to ensure their continuing growth and development.
- Ensuring the highest level of staff satisfaction through selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, developing, recognizing and rewarding our staff.
- Accomplishing all company financial goals by accepting ownership of restaurant results, with strategic forecasting and financial analysis, initiating corrective actions, establishing and monitoring financial controls, exploring opportunities to add value to all stakeholders whilst developing and implementing strategies to increase overall restaurant profitability.
- Maintaining a safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, complying with health and legal regulations.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the industry, reviewing professional publications, benchmarking best practices, and participating in community events.

**ABOUT YOU**
- A seasoned professional with a minimum of three years’ experience leading a large, upscale Restaurant or Food & Beverage operation in a downtown city center.
- As a bonus, culinary experience.
- Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to safety.
- Someone who has solid leadership skills, adept at training, coaching and motivating a team of culinary professionals.
- An exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot, resolve situations efficiently, with the ability to shift priorities as needed, including handling customer or staff situations that may occur outside of typical work hours.
- Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
- Able to combine strategic planning and day-to-day management.
- Physically able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, crouch, and lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds or more.
