Chung and Vander Doelen Engineering Ltd. is a PEO licensed consulting engineering firm that fulfills multiple needs of the public and private sectors in the fields of geotechnical, environmental, materials, and wastewater engineering, hydrogeology, and provides inspection services during the construction phase of a wide variety of projects. We have formed strategic alliances with other technical firms, in order to provide multi-disciplinary service to our clients.

Chung & Vander Doelen Engineering is currently seeking a **Lab Technician** to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Conducting lab testing for various geotechnical projects to produce accurate lab results to be used for design and analysis by our team and outside clients.
- Perform laboratory testing of soil, such as proctor testing, grain size distribution testing, and natural moisture content testing.
- Perform testing of concrete cylinders, such as logging samples, grinding samples, and compression strength testing.
- Regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Effectively communicating lab results and observations to our team and outside clients, both verbally and written.
- Preparation and review of technical reports.
- Field sampling at sites and pits.
- Any other duties, as required.

**Additional Information**:

- Must have access to a car for travel.
- Valid drivers’ license is required.
- Must have access to work boots; all other safety gear will be provided.

This position involves work-related travel therefore, a valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle are required (work-related travel expenses will be compensated). In return for your hard work and dedication, CVD offers a remuneration package made up of an annual salary and profit-sharing. In addition to your salary, you will receive comprehensive benefits.
