**About You**
You are a successful collaborator who is a graduate of a relevant Human Services degree or diploma program.

In this role, you’ll ensure the home is secure and people are safe when you arrive and then sleep for the remainder of the night. You will be wakened as necessary if there is a building, or personal emergency or concern.

**Compensation**:

- Awake hours are 10:30 pm to 11:00 pm; sleep hours are 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.
- Entry $29.99/hour - paid for the awake shift portion of the shift
- Lump sum of $140.00 - for the sleep shift hours

**Your Responsibilities**:

- To arrive at work at 10:30 pm and ensure that everyone is safe and settled for the evening, or you are aware of their evening plans.
- To be available to be wakened in the event that a person living in their home needs your assistance between 11:00 pm and 07:00 am and to respond to their requests as required.
- To assist people living in their home who ask for guidance getting ready for their day.
- To assist your teammate arriving in the morning with necessary information sharing.
- Facilitating Person Directed Planning and developing strategies that lead to the attainment of individual goals.
- Assist with and maintain administrative tasks as required by the people we serve and assigned duties in keeping with the policies/procedures and practices of the organization. Assist with household maintenance tasks as outlined policies/procedures and practices of the organization.

**Who we’re looking for**:

- Graduate of a Direct Support Worker (DSW), Social Service Worker (SSW), Child & Youth Worker (CYW) (BST), Justice Worker or other relevant Human Services degree/diploma
- Current CPR & First Aid and CPI Certificates
- Applied Medications Certificate or completed training deemed equivalent by the employer
- Valid Full G Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle
- Clear Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
- Ability to demonstrate consistent attendance at work
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative be innovative and think outside-the-box.
- Able to present confirmation documentation of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (2 doses)
- Ability to communicate with people both internal and external to the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
