**About the Opportunity**:
The Business Intelligence Specialist is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of business intelligence solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. Focusing on centralizing data reporting, implementing Power BI, and building data models that support clinical and operational decision-making, the Business Intelligence Specialist will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure data accessibility and create a data-driven culture that aligns with KidsAbility’s strategic goals while empowering the organization with sustainable, cost-effective tools for rapid data discovery and promoting advanced data analytics. Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

- Develop and manage comprehensive BI solutions, including data models, dashboards, and reports using Power BI for clinical and operational staff training end-users on Power BI functionality, helping them leverage self-service analytics
- Centralize data reporting across various departments, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and actionable while building and maintaining data pipelines to centralize reporting from the EMR and other organizational data sources
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading, and use SQL, Python, DAX, and M-Code for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
- Develop and maintain data artifacts such as data dictionaries, business glossaries, data mapping, and data classification while ensuring data quality and integrity by implementing validation processes and monitoring data flows
- Collaborate with the Information Technology Solutions team to integrate EMR data with other data sources for holistic analysis and partner with the process improvement team to use data for continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyze large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights that drive informed business decisions and utilize generative AI (Gen AI) to optimize business processes and solve complex problems
- Act as a data liaison, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization and support the Director of IT Solutions in developing a roadmap for expanding the BI function.

**More About You**:

- Proficiency in SQL, DAX, Python, M-Code, and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory).
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps), Visual Studio 2008/2010 (C#), ASP.NET, XML, Powershell, MSBuild, TFS, and Sharepoint
- Experience in large-scale data modeling, data visualization using Power BI, and modern data manipulation techniques
- Strong working knowledge of cloud and on-prem databases, data lakes, and database languages like T-SQL and PL/SQL
- Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in outcome measurement, data analysis, data security, data integrity, generating reports from data and program evaluation
- Up-to-date and current knowledge of the latest data analytics technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve data analytics processes
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented and organizational skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities, meet strict deadlines and have excellent follow-up
- Confidence in navigating challenging situations, effectively problem-solving with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
