**We are currently recruiting for a Full Time General Kitchen Helper for our facility in Leduc AB.**

**Position Summary**:
The General Kitchen Helper will assist our Head Chef and kitchen staff by providing general kitchen support duties as required. Duties may include dishwashing, basic kitchen prep, receiving, portioning of food items and cleaning duties. The General Kitchen Helper may also be temporarily reassigned to provide support and assist other departments such as housekeeping and dining room as required.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Provides general support services to Head Chef and kitchen staff.
- Dishwashing
- General cleaning of the kitchen equipment
- Assist with receiving and putting away incoming food orders.
- Wipe and clean walls and doors. Polish stainless steel surfaces by using stainless steel polish.
- Take out garbage, break down boxes and put them into the cardboard bin.
- Sweep and wash kitchen, hallway, storeroom and cooler floors.
- Assist with food service (plating portioning, clearing dishes, refills etc.)
- One (1) year experience in the food industry considered an asset.
- Knowledge of WHMIS, safety and sanitation is preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English as to be understood effectively by another individual.
- Ability to prioritize given tasks.
- Ability to cooperate with other employees.
- Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities with mínimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- Proof of COVID19 Immunization (required)
