**Job Description**:
What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s Big Data Platform Services (BDPS) Team, you will act as a liaison between business/other CIBC technology teams and the Big Data Delivery team (Enterprise Data Hub (EDH) & Enterprise Data Gateway (EDGE)), ensuring common understanding and IT/Business alignment of both functional and non-functional requirements. The role will lead requirement gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders, provides expertise to project managers, update status to leadership team, and coordination with peer tech groups to ensure seamless delivery.

How you'll succeed
- Understand and Document Requirements - elicit requirements given complex, ambiguous business problems. Prepare business requirement documents, including in-depth analysis of data, process flows, and current/future state models. Capture non-functional requirements encompassing performance, scalability, and security. Facilitate stakeholder reviews, solution design discussions, and requirement walk-through sessions.
- Technical Skills - make the link between business problems and technology solutions with a cloud-first mindset. Use tools such as SQL, DataBricks, Alteryx, and Visio to perform analysis, capture requirements, and design solutions.
- Collaboration - build trusted working relationships with business stakeholders, technology partners, and external vendors.
- Communication - write with precision and clarity. Express technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Continuous Learning - stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, changes in the banking industry, and regulatory developments.

Who you are
- You can demonstrate experience with:

- You have 3+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience (i.e., writing user stories, creating and updating systems Use Cases, etc.).
- Ability to elicit requirements and write strong documentation.
- Excellent abilities to manage stakeholders and having strong communication skills.
- Strong abilities around analyzing and understanding data using SQL, Excel, HUE(Hadoop), Databricks SQL etc
- Strong problem solving skills, stakeholder management abilities, and exceptional organizational skills
- It’s an asset if you have
- At least 2+ years of Confluence, Jira, GitHub experience
- Data Modeling (Build relational, dimensional and NOSQL data models) and strong data profiling skills
- Strong abilities to build relational, dimensional and NOSQL data models
- Worked in both waterfall methodology and Agile framework (Scrum and Kanban)
- Familiarity with Azure cloud with services such as Azure Data Factory, SQL MI, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks
- Familiarity with Hadoop services such as HDFS, Hive, Impala, Hue
