Primary Responsibilities

Performance consulting:

- Determine when training will be an effective part of a solution to drive business results, and partner with stakeholders to support business solutions

Analysis:
Research:

- Research internal product & develop technical summaries (training aids / performance support)
- Research / benchmark best practices for instructional methodologies and evaluation methods

Design
- Design curricula to meet regulatory and organization requirements for targeted areas
- Design and develop instructional materials to support a variety of learning transfer modalities including but not limited to e-learning, micro-learning, instructor-led training

Facilitation:

- Support & execute training activities including Structured-on-the-Job (SOJT), Functional and Technical Skills development, and Compliance and Mandatory training requirements
- Responsible for delivering training material to targeted areas using blended learning solutions

Administration:

- Support organizational training administration thru scheduling, coordinating, record-keeping

Technical Support:

- Stay connected to factory team & maintain product knowledge / proficiency thru hands-on experience

Continuous Improvement:

- Participate in training function continuous improvement activities for the organization

Required Capabilities
- Strong communication skills with proven track record of distilling complex concepts into simple form
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and relationship management skills
- Ability to influence without authority and gain buy-in for new ideas and approaches
- Knowledge of compliance standards and practices in relation to manufacturing
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Outstanding organizational capabilities
- Independent and pro-active work habits
- Solid capability using Microsoft Office tools with emphasis on PowerPoint, Word, Excel

Desired Education and Experiences
- College diploma / University degree in, technical, technology or engineering program (required)
- Experience in the adult learning profession
- Experience working in a technical capacity in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Leadership and / or project management experience is an asset
- A professional trainer’s certificate (CTT+) is an asset
- Knowledge of adult training principles, concepts, instructional methods / techniques, is an asset
- Experience in an AS9100 or other regulatory environment is an asset
