About the Role

Develops, organizes and delivers technical training programs and related materials in support of customers and/or company employees. Works with customer and functional organizations to establish course content and objectives. Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation. Ensures course material reflects current product features. Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions. Follows up to determine applicability of course material.

Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver system operation and maintenance courses at the organizational, basic and advanced level to Customers world-wide
- Deliver system train the trainer at the basic & advanced intermediate maintenance level to service centers and self-maintainer customers
- SME resource for the training team for technical knowledge transfer for the Intermediate Maintenance Basic and Advance level maintenance level
- Design, develop, and implement operator and integrated system level technical operations and maintenance training courses for WESCAM customers and internal personnel.
- Serves as a member of specialized technical support staff to provide input, direction and training to Field Service Engineers and Customers
- Assist in the development of best practices for troubleshooting of operator and integrated systems.
- Assist in the commission integrated systems platforms for customer installations / demos / tradeshows.
- Design and review course assessments / evaluations, validations, and creative feedback improvement for continued success
- Support Technical Publications and Logistics Engineering efforts as required.
- Proactively interface with ILS disciplines, Engineering, Field Service and other WESCAM organizations as required
- Support the validation of Service Procedures, as a part of New Product Introductions (NPI)
- Review of Technical Publications and Training materials, as required
- Travel internationally 30-50% of the time

Required Capabilities
- Ability to manage projects or processes with general oversight.
- Excellent communicator within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Must have professional instructional skills
- Outstanding organizational capabilities
- Independent and pro-active work habits
- Technical background (preferably maintenance oriented), in electronics, electro-mechanical, electro-optical and video technology
- Extensive experience working with integrated systems in an engineering \ maintenance capacity
- Must be able to travel extensively to US, and overseas
- Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired Education and Experiences
- Requires proficient knowledge of job area.
- May have practical knowledge of project management.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- A professional Trainer’s certificate or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with Government training standards, training related MIL-STDs, and UK
