Our Ottawa office is currently seeking a Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant to join our growing immigration practice.
- Preparing invoices for clients and follow up to ensure collection of retainers;
- Proactively manage (one or more) lawyers’ schedules with respect to meetings with clients and ensuring filing deadlines are met;
- Researching law, procedure and keeping track of immigration law updates;
- Work Permits (NAFTA, Intra-Company Transfers, Significant Benefit, Entrepreneur, Post-Graduate Work Permits, Spousal Open Work Permits, Bridging Open Work Permits, etc.)
- Permanent Residency (Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades, Provincial Nominations, Investors/Entrepreneurs)
- Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA)

**Requirements**:

- University/College/CEGEP degree an asset
- Bilingualism (French & English) required
- Administrative or Legal Assistant or Paralegal Certificate an asset
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Canadian corporate/business immigration
- Knowledge of Canadian immigration practices and procedures
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and PC Law an asset
- Ability to work in a team and manage competing deadlines

Notre bureau d'Ottawa est actuellement à la recherche d'un(e) assistant(e) juridique en immigration bilingue pour se joindre à notre cabinet spécialisé en immigration.

**Descriptif du poste**:

- Gérer diverses tâches administratives, à savoir : tenir à jour la base de données de gestion des cas ; communiquer directement avec les clients - appels téléphoniques, courriels et correspondance postale ; contacter l'IRCC et les consulats/ambassades canadiens ; aider à l'accueil des clients ; préparer les documents des clients et les soumettre aux divers bureaux d'immigration ;
- Préparer les factures pour les clients et assurer le suivi pour garantir le recouvrement des honoraires ;
- Assurer le suivi des courriers électroniques et répondre aux demandes de renseignements ;
- Gérer de manière proactive l'emploi du temps d'un ou de plusieurs avocats en ce qui concerne les entretiens avec les clients et le respect des délais de dépôt ;
- Effectuer des recherches sur les lois et les procédures et suivre les mises à jour de la loi sur l'immigration ;
- Préparer les demandes de divers dossiers d'immigration temporaire et permanente, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, les dossiers suivants:

- Permis de travail (ALENA, Transferts internes d’entreprises, Avantage important, Entrepreneur, Permis de travail post-diplôme, Permis de travail ouvert, Permis de travail ouvert transitoire, etc.)
- Étude d’impact sur le marché du travail (EIMT)

**Profil recherché**:

- Diplôme d’université/collège/CÉGEP souhaitable
- Bilinguisme (Français & Anglais) requis
- Certificat administratif ou d’assistant juridique ou parajuridique souhaitable
- Minimum un an d'expérience dans le domaine de l'immigration des affaires au Canada
- Connaissance des pratiques et procédures d'immigration canadiennes
- Bonne connaissance de MS Office et de PC Law souhaitable
- Capacité à travailler en équipe et à respecter les échéances

**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year
