Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for day-to-day compliance with CBP and CBSA requirements.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Reviews import and export documentation for correct values, commodity classifications, tariff codes, and authorizations
- Submit and monitor ISF transactions
- Maintain and update HTS product code databases.
- File for US and Canadian Duty Drawback in house
- Tracks, audits, and maintains records of import and export shipping documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in product design reviews with all product managers and provide proper tariff classification of all products as well as guidance on the use of materials regulated by OGA’s
- Proactively monitor all daily activities and custom clearances
- Manage customs record keeping and generation of ACE reports for the business
- Identify and resolve issues hindering customs clearance
- Monitor regulatory and legislative changes and maintain import procedures manual.
- Ability to file for binding ruling
- Manage section 321 clearances
- Work with duty relief programs & bonded warehouses.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum of 5 years experience in trade compliance.
- Customs Certified Specialist with CSCB is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with Excel and reporting tools.
- Proactive commitment to quality and investing in results that add value and drive the business.
- Strong time management skills with emphasis on meeting deadlines.
