**About the role**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Study and rehearse lines, gestures, acts and expressions to interpret the role
- Portray roles in theatre productions and arena setting for the stage performance and perform the narration
- Sing, dance, act and fight when required
- Perform various acts, stunts and choreographed fight acts throughout the show, alone and as a member of the entertainment troupe
- Perform a variety of acts intended to amaze, thrill, and engage audiences
- Conceptualize and choreograph original performances and perform them
- Study and perform acrobatic, aerial and riding skills required by specific shows
- Exhibits an in-depth knowledge of mastery of multiple weapons used in choreographed stunts
- May participate in the development of a director or ringmaster’s vision
- Assists in maintaining quality and safety of props
- Display an aptitude and ability to handle horses as both a rider and a handler
- Perform stunts which require falling off of a horse while the horse is galloping
- Greet and interact with guests, signs autographs, and takes pictures with guests following the show
- Assist with special functions, shows, groups and/or individual guests as required
- Improvise the role and performs additional duties as assigned

**Required Specific Skills and Requisites**:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Physical agility, ability to perform all physical requirements of the show
- Ability to swing swords and other medieval props and weapons overhead and strike them against other fighters
- Ability to ride and fall off horses
- Ability to work with and around horses
- Physical ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods on uneven surfaces and in the sand
- Ability to communicate with Team Members and Guests
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
- Ability to work within a team environment

**Education Requirements**:
Secondary (high) school education certificate

**Experience Requirements**:
1-2 years of experience working as a Squire or Knight actor and entertainer is required

1-2 years of Horse-Riding or Horse-Skills and experience required

1-2 years of acting and performance in front of large crowd is required

Experience as swordsman actor and entertainer with sword fighting and acting skills will be considered as an asset
