**Executive Chef**

This position is accountable for the overall success of the culinary operations, while leading staff in preparing a high-quality and consistent experience for all areas. The Executive Chef works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget and is responsible for guiding and developing staff, including direct reports.
- Proven progressive leadership experience in various kitchen environments, managing multiple banquet events with a high level of product presentation to create an outstanding guest experience.
- Ability to create and maintain large scale menu offerings that incorporate localized partnerships and reflect current food and beverage trends at an international level
- Ability to maintain responsible food and labour costing structures through various business levels.
- Understanding and knowledge to maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations by ensuring adherence to sanitary and safe food handling guidelines at all times.
- Experience with a large and diverse employee group within a unionized environment an asset.
- Formal training and Red Seal Chef Certification. A minimum five (5) years’ experience in a leadership role, preferably in a large food service facility.
