Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will lead and participate in the daily operations of our shops with a passion to create a unique, customer-focused environment. You will oversee all aspects of our retail stores. From leading our sales team, to fielding customer service concerns to the owners. You will set the standard of success within our store.

The Assistant Store Manager wears many hats in our small business. The task list is long and broad offering a unique experience that allows you to be hands on in many aspects of the business. Some days you will manage the reception desk and some days you will provide support to other employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Multitasking between on the floor demands and management demands
- Direct all incoming phone calls/transferring calls between stores
- Assist with U-Haul reservations
- Take and process customer transactions using Square
- Take inventory
- Pricing items
- Use Excel to monitor inventory
- Maintain store organization and cleanliness
- Other duties as assigned
- Some weekend shifts required

**Qualifications**:

- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Sales experience
- 1-3 years experience and/or related work experience in retail and/or management
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Polite phone demeanor
- Creative and innovative problem solver
- Completed Post Secondary education
- Proficient in Excel and Word

Reliable transportation and a smart phone (for U-Haul) is a must

All required training for U-Haul will be provided

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Commission pay

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Retail Associates & Cashiers: 2 years (required)
- management: 3 years (required)
