Mechanical Installation Technician

**Job Purpose**:
Joining the Viking-Cives family you will have pride working within our fast-paced installation shop, installing snow & ice removal products, mechanical equipment, dump bodies, etc., on standard and customized heavy commercial trucks. **(Personal tools required)**.

**Job Duties: Back Row - Iron**
**Fabrication, and out of position welding.**
Read/interpret drawings as they relate to the product being manufactured with raw materials.
Mechanical installation such as dump bodies, snowplows, spreaders, etc. on heavy commercial trucks.
Handle heavy materials manually or with overhead cranes.
Maintain traceable requirements by completing required documentation.
Comfortable using measuring tools such as tape measure, framing square, straight edge, calipers, laser level, and shop measuring & cutting equipment, to cut stock tubing, angle iron, channel iron, flat bar, etc.
Produce quality product in a safe manner while focusing on given standards.
Maintain daily cleanliness of work area.
Adhere to all safety practices and report any unsafe conditions, broken or malfunctioning equipment.
Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
Mathematically inclined.

**Skills/Qualifications**:
Hands-on experience working with heavy-duty commercial vehicle equipment and accessories.
Read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
Flexible, dedicated, motivated, challenge seeker, results driven.
Ability to work with others and independently.

**Education/Experience**:
High School Diploma or its equivalent, **mechanical/installation** **experience/knowledge preferred**.
