**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for full cycle payroll processing and reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant payroll regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to gather payroll information in a timely manner.
- Accurately calculate and process all wages / deductions as per employee contracts and policies, including statutory payments etc.
- Be responsible for answering all payroll related queries and providing document copies as required.
- To develop existing or write new policies and procedures as appropriate and assist with the ongoing implementation of existing and new policies and procedures.
- To provide advice and support to managers on employee related issues.
- Ensure all HR records are up to date, accurate and comply with relevant legislation.
- To develop & deliver in house training courses in relation to HR, training & payroll as appropriate.
- Super user for implementing/testing and training during the installation of SAPB1/Beas
- Special projects as assigned

- HR and Payroll policies and practices - remain current on legislation
- Have a positive, go-getter attitude and excellent communication (written and verbal) and time management skills
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment (while meeting priorities and deadlines) and can manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and exercise initiative to ensure high quality service
- Motivated, energetic, self-starter, ability to take control, professional and reliable
- Must have strong work ethics, respect for privacy and confidentiality is essential
- A high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, ability to manage confidential and complex information and handling multiple tasks under strict deadlines is necessary
- Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well with people at all levels and from multiple cultures
- Ability to work independently and must be able to work under minimum supervision
- Related experience to ERP implementation
- Intermediate excel skills

**Education/Certification and Experience**:

- Achievement of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification from the Canadian Payroll Association and Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Payroll and Human Resources
- Experience with various payroll and HR systems with preference to Payworks and Magnar
- Experience in the Oil and Gas sector would be considered an asset
