**6:30 pm - 7:30 pm - Math Level - Grades 3-6**

**Must be available for a interview on Mon Jan 20 between the times of 10 am and 3 pm.

Are you passionate about Mathematics and eager to inspire young minds? STEM Montessori Academy of Canada is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Instructor to join our international STEM program and make a significant impact on students' education in a virtual environment.

**About Us**:
**Position Overview**:
We are looking for a virtual Mathematics Instructor with:

- 1 or more years of experience teaching Mathematics
- Enthusiasm and professionalism in teaching
- The ability to motivate and engage students
- Experience teaching online

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure an inclusive, welcoming, and safe atmosphere for all students.
- Deliver meaningful content to children aged 7-17 years in a virtual setting.
- Provide weekly assessment reports on student progress and take daily attendance.
- Serve as a positive role model for students and volunteers, demonstrating politeness, helpfulness, and a friendly demeanor.
- Develop and conduct Mathematics lessons using age-appropriate content.

**Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in Mathematics with experience in teaching various levels and topics.
- Knowledge of classroom management in an online setting.
- Ability to connect with and motivate students.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with online teaching tools and platforms such as Zoom.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a recent Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance Check.
- Teaching background in Mathematics with the ability to create age-appropriate content.
- Display an understanding of the connections between Mathematics and other STEM fields.
- Ability to keep students engaged and focused in an online classroom.
- Previous online teaching experience is a plus.
- Reliable internet connection and proficiency with communication platforms like Zoom.

**Who Should Apply?**

STEM Montessori Academy of Canada is seeking enthusiastic and engaging university students, club facilitators, instructors, or teachers with expertise in Mathematics for online programming. We are particularly interested in individuals available for summer camps, which are part-time positions ranging from 1 to 8 weeks.

**Shifts**:

- Evenings between 6:30 - 8:30 pm Eastern Time on select days that align with your schedule, 2-8 hours on weekends as available. Start times may vary.

**Planned Start Date**:

- Immediate - Supply role

**End Date**:

- June 20, 2025

**Work Location**:

- Remote via Zoom

**Rate**:

- $22.87 per hour

Please note that this temporary contract is based on enrollment, and the dates, shifts, and hours are not guaranteed. This position is ideal for those with flexible schedules who are looking to earn extra income remotely.
