As a Carpenter at Grandview Building Co., you will play a crucial role in executing various carpentry projects with precision and proficiency. You will work closely with our team of construction professionals to bring architectural designs to life and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are met.

**Responsibilities**:

- Isn’t required, but is an asset to understand and analyze construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials such as wood, metal, and plastic etc.
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, staircases, and moldings.
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs, ensuring alignment and stability.
- Perform repairs, replacements, and renovations as necessary.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to building codes, regulations, and safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate progress and challenges as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

**Requirements**:

- Salary is determined based on relevant experience, taking into account demonstrated expertise as a carpenter or in a similar capacity
- No housing is included
- Interest in carpentry or similar role
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques, including framing, finishing, and cabinetry.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, materials, and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Asset to have a valid driver's license OR reliable transportation to Bracebridge in the mornings

**Preferred Qualifications (Not required)**
- Certification or training in carpentry or a related field.
- Experience working in residential or commercial construction.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in the construction industry.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
