The Materials Coordinator is a critical function to meeting customer requirements. This position requires an individual who can analyze material readiness in advance of coach assembly process. As required, working with Purchasing, Planning and other areas, he/she will proactively and reactively expediates material to meet production needs.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
- Liaise between shop floor supervisors, planners, and purchasing to ensure production deadlines are met
- Analyze and level factory load to ensure a valid and executable material plan
- Ensure work center data is complete, accurate and current
- Communicate job schedules to shop floor personnel through the use of dispatch/Kanban techniques
- Monitor production activities to maintain the integrity of the job order and inventory files
- Maintain inventory on a daily basis and distribute reports
- Support production through monitoring, scheduling, and expediting parts Position Requirements
**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:
- Minimum two-year related experience, in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in leading and participating in Kaizen events
- Analysis and problem-solving skills
- Organized and with the ability to multi task
- Oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate instructions clearly; resolve conflicts, determine core issues; document work instructions and general written materials
- Proficient with Computers (Word, Excel), along with strong keyboarding skills
