**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Manager, Procurement (Edmonton, AB)**

Reporting to the General Manager or designate, the Manager, Procurement’s duties and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

- Continually learn and develop knowledge on commodity protein markets
- Execute weekly procurement and management of raw materials (beef) food production
- Build relationships with multiple suppliers to source best quality and pricing
- Procure special order items in consultation with the Sales Team
- Advise and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure inventory levels are optimized for business
- needs
- Creating accurate purchase orders to match procurement
- Source opportunity purchases/new items and present to sales team
- Work with Sales Manager to ensure inventory is turned over in a timely manner
- Attend and engage sales team in weekly meetings
- Assist in inventory count process quarterly
- Additional tasks as assigned by manager

**Qualifications**
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to work in an office environment
- Comfortable working with computers
- Confident in ability to negotiate pricing
- Self-motivated and able to learn new tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in a similar role considered an asset
