Job description

NFTC is looking for 2 dedicated field technicians to assist with ongoing fibre optic developments throughout the Kingston-Frontenac region. Field Technicians will be tasked with:

- Accessing Fiber Optic Terminals to connect cables
- Adhering to existing practices and standards to ensure consistent quality
- Operating equipment and vehicles in a safe manner
- Ensuring vehicles and test equipment are maintained in excellent working condition
- Troubleshooting technical issues swiftly and accurately
- Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
- Enhancing organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment
- Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of NFTC

**Qualifications**

Education: Post-secondary College or University (asset)

Software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, ArcGIS, other related software platforms (asset)

Other Qualifications: Valid G driver’s license, clean abstract.

$17.00-$21.00 per hour
