_New Clinic opening in Kingston Ontario requires three (3) Ophthalmic Technicians (OT) to be responsible for providing pre and post examination care as well as assisting with various administrative duties. OT
- s provide physicians with necessary information to prepare and customize each exam. You will be a Graduate from a Bachelor's program in science (BSc), an Opticianry program (license not required), a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT). New graduates are welcome, as are International Medical Graduates. You will have had experience with several diagnostic tools and tests, including topography, refraction, slit lamp examination, lensometry, auto-refraction, visual acuity, fundus photography, tonometry, OCT testing of the retina, biometry, orb scan, lens star, eye trace. Your role will be to manage duties related to opening and closing the clinic. Take accurate medical histories from clinic patients. Instructing patients about medications, tests, and procedures. Administer topical ophthalmic medications. Complete preoperative and postoperative measurements, offering clear explanations to patients throughout the process. Assist physicians with ophthalmic procedures. Operate ophthalmic equipment such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), retinal photography, ultrasonography, other related retinal and tonometry.
