**Job Description - Retail Manager**

**Main duties**

**This group performs some, or all of the following duties**:

- Plan direct and evaluate the activities of the sales team
- Organize the team of full time and part time sales team members within guidelines set out for scheduling
- Establish organizational policies and procedures in relation to sales
- Determine strategic planning related to new product lines that are listed for placement within the store and training of sales team members
- Lead sales team in building relationships with customers
- Recruit, organize, train and manage sales team members
- May work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the customers

**Employment requirements**
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- A university degree or college diploma in business administration or other field related to the product may be required.
- Several years of related retail sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility are usually required.
- There is some mobility between managers in this unit group, depending on the product or service.

**Compensation requirements**
- $24-$27/hour
- Required working hours between 40-44 hours/week
- Open availability from Sunday-Saturday is required, with 2 days off per working week

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Microsoft Office: 5 years (required)
- Retail management: 5 years (required)
