The Chemical Technician II will perform multiple production functions in support of our materials purification and processing. The incumbent will also be responsible for participating in process improvement projects and expansion projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Follow base procedures, ensure that production timelines are met
- Perform reaction prep and product harvest
- Follow, respect, and maintain ISO-9001 standards
- Complete production logs and assist in trending over time
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Perform sample prep and perform QC processes
- Provide input for SOP updates
- Maintain Health and Safety Standards within the lab space
- Maintain good housekeeping of their area
- Troubleshoot process non-conformances
- Investigate deviations and product non-conformances
- Interpret data and review QC results
- Perform instrument maintenance and calibration when needed
- Perform any additional work to meet deadline requirements

Le technicien en chimie exécutera de multiples fonctions de production en soutien à la purification et au traitement de nos matériaux. Le titulaire du poste sera également responsable de participer à des projets d'amélioration des processus et à des projets d'expansion.

**Responsabilités**
- Suivre les procédures de base et veiller à ce que les délais de production soient respectés
- Effectuer la préparation des réactions et la récolte des produits
- Suivre, respecter et maintenir les normes ISO-9001
- Complétez les registres de production et aidez à établir les tendances au fil du temps
- Participer aux initiatives d'amélioration continue
- Effectuer la préparation des échantillons et effectuer les processus de contrôle qualité
- Fournir des commentaires pour les mises à jour des SOP
- Maintenir les normes de santé et de sécurité dans l'espace du laboratoire
- Maintenir un bon niveau d’entretien de son espace de travail
- Résoudre les problèmes de non-conformités des processus
- Enquêter sur les déviations et les non-conformités des produits
- Interpréter les données et examiner les résultats du contrôle qualité
- Effectuer la maintenance et l'étalonnage des instruments au besoin
- Effectuer tout travail supplémentaire pour respecter les exigences en matière de délais

**Requirements**:

- Technical degree or higher in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or closely related field is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' of relevant experience in general chemistry
- Excellent laboratory technique and communication skills, with a broad knowledge of chemistry methods
