Reporting to the Foreman, the Excavator Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the excavator. The operator will also perform assigned duties to ensure that completed work meets contract specifications.

**How You’ll Add Value**
- Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment
- Perform daily cleaning maintenance and safety checks on equipment
- Conduct pre-operational checks, and clean, lubricate, and refill equipment as needed
- Perform trench work in compliance with OH&S regulations
- Understand and manage ground disturbance issues effectively
- Perform in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
- Operate additional heavy equipment as required to support project needs

**What You Bring**
- 2+ years of experience operating an excavator in heavy civil construction 
- Experience with 4-Party URD installations involving Enmax or Atco utilities is preferred
- Physically able to safely lift and carry 40 lbs regularly
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
