**Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines while handling food products.
- Must be physically fit and able to bend down, reach up and lift up to 50 pounds.

**Skills**
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork in the kitchen.
- Knowledge of meal preparation processes and proper food handling techniques.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to contribute positively to the culinary team.

**What is Ideal Cafe?**

Hours of operation are 7am - 3:30pm. Staff normally are able to get out of a closing shift by 4:30pm. Must have own transportation to work, must be available to work weekends.

Pay: $19.00-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
