Job summary

The Operational Trainer is responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs and providing ongoing support to ensure employees have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively. This role focuses on facilitating engaging training sessions and offering continuous support to a designated group of employees.

Responsibilities

- Deliver Training Sessions: Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for employees, ensuring they acquire the skills and knowledge required for their roles.
- Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of training sessions through feedback and assessments, making necessary adjustments to improve training quality.
- Coordinate Training Logistics: Manage the logistics of training sessions, including scheduling, room setup, and technology requirements.
- Identify Skill Gaps: Work with department heads to identify skill gaps and training needs within the designated group of employees.
- Foster Continuous Learning: Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement among employees.

Qualifications

- Experience: Proven experience in training and development, preferably in an operational environment.
- Interpersonal Skills:

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

- Other Skills:

- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in using training software and tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.

- Certifications: Relevant certifications in training and development are a plus but not required.
- The nature of the position involves regular travel to our stations located in Quebec and, on an occasional basis, to our stations located in other Canadian provinces.
- The person will be required to lead certain training sessions for teams whose shifts may begin or end outside of normal working hours.
- The incumbent communicates regularly with stakeholders across Canada, so fluency in French and English is mandatory.
