You will perform health care duties as authorized on the client’s care plan, including but not limited to simple dressings, medication assistance, catheter care, ostomy care and exercises for range of movement and strengthening. You have an opportunity to contribute as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, demonstrating excellent creativity and resourcefulness with the ability to think on your feet with little direction. You will need to have great time management and organization abilities in order to balance different priorities at once. Being able to provide friendly and sincere emotional support by being a good listener and interacting in a positive and optimistic manner is critical to ensuring patient centered care as a HCA. In this position you will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities assisting nurses with the provision of routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation and safety needs, assisting with organized activities or programs and observing and reporting on a patient's mood, health, and wellbeing.
