If you’re ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter and build a career with a company that’s building North America, we want to hear from you About the Role The Procurement Specialist is primarily responsible for coordinating the procurement of goods and services at Richmond Cement, Kamloops, Seattle, Sundance and WCAN Cement Terminals – roughly 50% for Richmond and 50% for the other sites. Responsibilities include contract implementation, category strategy execution, warehouse management, supplier performance tracking, Purchase Order creation, RFx issuance, cost savings and process improvements under the leadership of the Procurement Manager and in close cooperation with Category Managers and local Business Leaders. The role is committed to providing superior customer service to internal clients and achieving the best possible value for goods and services purchased. What You’ll Accomplish Coordinate the procurement of goods and services categories in accordance with category strategy, policies, procedures and specifications. Identify and support the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality and process improvements. Support inventory and warehouse management at the Cement Operation (Richmond). Manage relationships with key operational personnel and vendor contacts. Maintain close business relationships with local management to anticipate procurement needs and optimize cost of goods and services. Drive improvements in inventory and warehouse management. Cover Warehouse Supervisor at the cement plant as required. Negotiate goods or services for lowest cost of ownership in coordination with PM and CM. Carry out the RFx process according to procurement policies. Compose contracts and agreements under the direction of the PM with pre-approved templates. Communicate, improve and adhere to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments. What We’re Looking For Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Field of Study: Business, Engineering or equivalent experience. Required Work Experience: 2-5 years in a procurement role with exposure to supply chain management, strategic sourcing and procurement standards. Required Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with eRFQ, eAuction technologies and SAP is an asset. Travel Requirements: 10% Additional Requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels. Strong negotiation skills. Effective time management, planning and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and drive tasks to completion under pressure. Ability to handle ambiguities, conflicts and adversarial relationships. Ability to identify problems quickly, make sound judgments, and implement solutions. Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize‑approved PPE, including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal meets the face. What We Offer Base Salary of $80,000 - $90,000. Bonus opportunity up to 24% of base salary.
