**The Opportunity**

The Bridgehead Assistant Coffee Roaster and Packager upholds the highest standards for work ethic, production standards, hygienic, efficient packaging of products, and cooperative teamwork to help establish and maintain an efficient and reliable supply chain for our coffeehouses and our customers who enjoy our premium products.

**Performance Expectations**
- Execute and ensure proper production standards for all Bridgehead products in the plant, including labelling and packing coffee bags
- Ensure timely deliveries of coffee and other products for coffeehouses and customers
- Follow all procedures for material storage, shipping and receiving
- Blend and package Bridgehead’s blended teas, including Masala Chai, Rooibos Chai and Ginger Lemon tea
- Produce Bridgehead’s beverage concentrates, including Masala Chai and Rooibos Chai concentrates
- Organize the facility using appropriate equipment as needed
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures relating to organics, food safety, and other safety standards
- Review, select, and safely pack items for delivery using order forms, inventory and labelling systems
- Maintain a clean, healthy and safe work environment
- Contribute positively to the team; communicate effectively with other employees
- Assist the Coffee Roaster with production roasting and with the maintenance of roasting equipment
- Contribute to the development of roast profiles and quality control assessments
- Support the E-Commerce division with fulfilling online orders
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Physically fit to stand, walk, bend, twist and lift up to 35kg
- Physically fit to stand for long hours for up to 8 hours
- Fluency with measurements and scales
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate with MS Office Applications and Google Docs
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing and/or rotation of the wrist and spine
- Clarity of vision at near and far distance
- Verified record of punctuality/attendance and time management
- Occasionally be able to accurately distinguish and describe flavours and odours

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Previous coffeehouse, warehouse or roasting experience
- Knowledge of or interest in coffee production
- Love of coffee or teas
- Certified forklift operator
- Valid driver’s license

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
