**Job Summary**
As the Summer Camp Leader, you will supervise and lead a 4-day camp from **August 5-8**, with daily programming split into **tennis-themed outdoor activities** in the morning and **tutoring/art-based learning** in the afternoon. All materials and plans will be provided—you just bring your energy, leadership, and love of working with kids
This unique summer camp is a collaboration between _40Love Tennis_ and _Lady of Learning Tutoring_. We blend active outdoor tennis-based games with fun and enriching academic activities for children in Grades 1-6. We’re looking for a **responsible and energetic Camp Leader** who loves working with kids and can confidently lead a small group of 4-6 campers.
**Location**: MacLachlan College - Lower School Campus, Oakville, ON
**Camp Hours**: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

**Duties**
- Supervise and engage a group of 4-6 children (Grades 1-6) throughout the day
- Lead outdoor activities themed around tennis and physical play (no coaching certification required)
- Oversee lunch and break periods ensuring safety and inclusivity
- Deliver and support academic activities using provided worksheets and tasks
- Guide children through simple art projects and ensure their work is completed and taken home
- Help explain academic material and keep kids engaged and on track
- Manage daily check-in and check-out with parents; **ensure no child is ever left unattended**:

- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for all participants
- Communicate with parents and camp directors as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Must be **18 years or older**:

- **Valid CPR/First Aid certification** (or willing to obtain before camp starts)
- **Recent (within the past 12 months) criminal background check** required
- **Experience working with children** (camp, tutoring, teaching assistant, babysitting, etc.)
- **Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle**:

- Must be responsible, punctual, and confident managing small groups

**Skills**
- Background in education, childcare, kinesiology, or recreation
- Familiarity with tennis or sports-based activities
- Interest in or experience with creative arts and crafts
- Strong leadership and group management
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and engage kids
- Effective communicator with children and parents
- Organized and able to follow pre-designed camp plans
- Energetic, positive, and adaptable
