**Position Overview**

Altea’s Active Kids Club Lead supports daily operations of the Active Kids Club, ensuring a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children. This role involves supporting a team of Active Kids Club Associates, coordinates activities, creates crafts and implements themes They lead the team and support with on-boarding and training of new hires. They are great communicators effectively engaging with team members, parents and guardians.

**As an Active Kids Club Associate Lead a typical day might include the following**:

- Creating and distributing schedule for Active Kids Club Associates
- Ensuring/monitoring break schedule
- Overseeing shift change requests, call ins and shift coverage.
- Working collaboratively with Events to organize and execute birthday parties.
- Point of contact for all Active Kid Club Member concerns and feedback
- Delegating cleaning tasks & ensure completion.
- Communicate supply needs (craft supplies, cleaning supplies etc.) to Assistant General Manager
- Taking charge in any situation involving communication with parents or incident report completion.

**To land this role you need to have;**
- Post-secondary relating to early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or special education and additional certifications
- Experience leading a team is an asset
- Workshops relating to child care are an asset
- Experience working with children from six weeks old to 12 years old is required
- All team members must have current CPR/First Aid certification prior to start date and must be maintained throughout employment
- A recent Criminal Background Check (Vulnerable Sector) prior to commencement of training and/or work.
