**GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**

The Order entry clerk is responsible for all sales order processing. This would include aspects of sales order administration and customer facing communications related to orders that are placed.

**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Input all manual orders into the AS400 operating system.
- Ensure all exceptions to orders that are EDI are dealt with and resolved; may include specials, manual orders, replacement orders, engineering sample orders, pricing, etc.
- Provide communication to customer base on all lead time requests.
- Provide communication to customer base on all pricing changes.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding status of orders, pricing and quotations.
- Update order planned production dates when required.
- Duties, responsibilities and activities may change with the needs of the business.

**QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- High school diploma or equivalent minimum, college degree preferred.
- 2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Prior experience in an AS400 environment an asset.
- Prior experience working within an MRP/ERP environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general office equipment such as copier, scanner, fax, calculator, etc.
- Ability to organize, manage multiple and varying tasks, prioritize and work under pressure
- Requires data accuracy, attention to detail, excellent communication skills.
- Ability to analyze, problem solve, and work within a team environment.
- Displays following competencies; Confidentiality, Thoroughness, Problem Solving/Analysis, Customer/Client Focus, Ethical Conduct
