**Quality Control Inspector**

**What is the project?**

The Confederation Line Extension Project - one of the components of the City of Ottawa Stage 2 O-Train system - includes the design, construction and financing of 27,5kilometres of light rail infrastructure. The scope of work also includes 4 kilometres of cut-and cover tunnels, 20 engineered structures, 16 stations and a light maintenance service facility.

**What you will do**:
Participate in the implementation of a safe, quality minded and productive execution of various work scopes in a fast paced operating plant turnaround and shop environment

Concretely, your tasks will be:

- To develop a complete understanding of contract plans, specifications, applicable codes, and jurisdictional requirements ;
- To develop a thorough knowledge of the project scope, schedule, inspection, testing, and quality documentation, organize and maintain inspection and testing documentation ;
- To provide guidance to construction supervision regarding the project specific quality process and to ensure the requirements of the ITP are met ;
- To report and document Non-Conformance when they occur. Assist in ensuring rework is tracked. Propose corrective and preventive actions ;
- Be involved in and provide inspection and testing input to with project team ;
- To coordinate with third party testing agencies and ensure that status logs are maintained ;

**Who we are looking for**:

- Experience in the construction industry, preferably on large infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Ontario standards
- Previous experience in Canada or North America and in LRT projects, an asset
