Description & Responsibilities

We are looking for individuals who are warm, friendly and possess very strong communication skills with an enthusiasm for teaching. Tutors will need to be able to create welcoming environments over zoom or in-person while delivering fun and engaging lessons to help our students grow academically and personally. Tutors will report to our director and will also be required to complete on-boarding sessions and LPP team meetings. Before starting, tutors are required to provide a vulnerable sector police check from their city. Strong internet and a reliable computer are also required for online teaching and in-person teaching would be taught out of our location at Temple Anshe Sholom in Hamilton. **Skills**:

- Fully Bilingual in both French and English
- Experience working with children

- Able to use zoom (or similar apps) and google drive
- Compelling presentation skills delivering content over zoom
- Ability to create and engaging lessons over zoom
- Can be flexible to accommodate children’s different learning styles

Time Period

Tutors can determine their schedule and their hours. We are looking for tutors who are interested in working 10 hours minimum per week; the majority of teaching hours available are between 4-8pm EST and weekends.

Pay

Raise structure in-place based on number of hours taught.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $17.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
