Serving Canadians since 1953, Allstate strives to provide reassurance with its "You’re in Good Hands®" promise. - Through our Employee Value Proposition, Opportunity, Flexibility, Community, Diversity and Family, we have worked hard to develop and nurture a culture where employees feel valued, experience personal growth, have career options and truly enjoy the work they do._ **Role Designation: Hybrid 1-2 days in Office** **Benefits to joining Allstate** - Flexible Work Arrangements - Employee discounts (15% on auto and property insurance, plus many other products and services) - Good Office program (receive up to 400$ back after purchasing office equipment) - Student Loan Payment Matching Program for Government Student loans - Comprehensive Retirement Savings Program with employer matched contributions - Annual Wellness allowance to support employees with improving health and wellbeing - Personal reflection day - Tuition Reimbursement - Working within the community and giving back **Accountabilities**: - Quantify the impacts of initiatives or operational activities on the premium and loss flows in insurance setting and able to articulate calculations deriving these impacts. - Identify statistical trends from different sources and their reasonableness as well as conducts self-directed research on topics based on their review of these trends. - Develop financial trends and understand how they may impact P&L KPIs. - Make judgments/assessments based on finding from variance reports/dashboards pertaining to premium and loss key indicators or make recommendations for areas of focus. - Provide timely, relevant, and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the market’s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan. - Acts as direct contact and provides support to department/market teams by conducting what-if scenarios and cost benefit analysis when suggesting alternatives to issues identified. - Manipulate planning/forecasting models explaining to customers the implications of actions suggested. Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all of Finance during the planning processes, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review. **Qualifications**: - University graduate in finance and/or business/commerce pursuing accounting designation or equivalent 2+ years of relevant work experience. - Intermediate to advanced knowledge with Excel including use of indexing, Lookup, IF, ISERROR formulas. Basic macro knowledge would be a desired skill. - Understanding of financial statements principles. - Strong ability to multi-task. - Proven ability to be detail oriented with a high level of accuracy. - Able to work independently within an environment where own decisions will have to be developed to complete tasks.
