**Bookeeper/Administrative Assistant**
Vasanti Cosmetics Inc - Markham, ON
The Bookeeper/Adminstrative Assistant will be responsible for the performance of a variety of duties in the Accounting department. Primary responsibilities will include maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable. Other responsibilities will include the compilation of data and documents in support of audits, maintaining filing and record systems, supporting senior team members in the month-end closing and generally supporting ad hoc requirements of the Accounting department.
**Job Duties**
- Utilize computer systems to maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable and inventory
- Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports, account statements and other financial statements
- Monthly account and bank reconciliations
- Weekly cheque runs
- Maintain weekly cash flow
- Monthly tax filings
- Support senior team members in month-end and year-end closing procedures and reporting
- Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations and solve problems
- Assist with audit processes
- Perform accounting-related clerical duties, such as maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying
- Perform other duties as required
**Requirements**:
- Degree or Diploma in accounting or related field
- Computer literate, including strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of Navision an asset
- Ability to adapt to and learn new software
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Attention to detail in all areas of work and strong work ethic
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $43,000.00-$48,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
- QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 2 years (preferred)
