**Quality Assurance Manager**

**GENEREL FUNCTIONS**:Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the Westinghouse Canada nuclear management system and ensuring its alignment with the Global Westinghouse Quality Management System. The Quality Representative is the quality management representative for Canada and will interface with customers and regulators to ensure compliance with local industry standards, including but not limited to, N299.1.

The Quality Assurance Manager is also responsible for quality assurance of projects, facilities and field site locations including independent assessment, the process of development and maintenance of implementing procedures. This also includes resource planning and workforce training for applicable quality processes and standards, in collaboration with the GOS function.

The Quality Assurance Manager will collaborate with Business Units and Global Operations Services to position Westinghouse Canada to meet its enterprise goals.This includes reviews of project proposals, qualification of suppliers, and driving continuous improvement in product and service quality delivered to our customers.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage development and implementation of Westinghouse Canada quality policies in compliance with customer requirements, codes and standards.
- Monitor changes to Westinghouse global QMS and maintain alignment of Canadian program
- Promote a culture of compliance and customer satisfaction
- Ensure quality program changes are communicated and implemented throughout Business Unit.
- Interface with industry organizations and influence appropriate industry quality changes
- Oversee internal and external audits, project audits, management assessments
- Lead corrective action program for Canada
- Recommend, resolve and implement solutions to quality problems.
- Develop, implement and maintain quality indoctrination training and other education programs
- Implement quality assurance best practices through continuous improvement.
- Develop department budget and control expenditures to remain within budget.
- Ensure staff are appropriately trained and manage employee performance to achieve department goals and objectives.

**Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies**:

- Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) - Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree (technical discipline preferred)
- Years of Experience (if applicable): 10 years or progressively responsible quality program administration
- Minimum 3 years experience in quality management
- Professional Certifications: ASQ Quality Engineer or Manager of Quality (preferred)
- Nuclear Lead Auditor qualification (preferred)
- Skills and Competencies: Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian nuclear codes and standards
- Broad knowledge of quality assurance principles and operations
