**Role Description**
CIMT College Scarborough Campus is seeking a qualified Instructor to teach in the fields of Trades and Design at our Scarborough campus. The role includes delivering instruction in the following workshops:
- Framing and Rough Carpentry
- Flooring Installation
- Drywall, Mudding & Sanding Workshop
- Painting Workshop
- Trim and Crown Molding Workshop
- Tile Setting and Installation
- AutoCAD Level 1 & 2
- Working at Heights Workshop
Note: These workshops are non-vocational training courses and do not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

**Position Responsibilities**
As a member of CIMT College’s faculty, you will:
- Demonstrate professionalism in teaching and student engagement.
- Employ effective instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Contribute to student success through mentorship, feedback, and guidance.
- Support the broader CIMT College community by participating in events and collaborative initiatives
**Teaching and Student Engagement**
- Deliver lectures, demonstrations, and lab sessions with hands-on training following the approved curriculum.
- Assess students' learning through assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects.
- Provide timely, fair, and constructive feedback on student performance.
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and grades.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to student needs in a multicultural environment.

**Required Qualifications**
- Option 1: Minimum of 48 months of work experience in the home renovation and construction fields, OR
- Option 2: Minimum of 36 months of teaching experience in the field and 24 months of work experience, OR
- Option 3: Minimum of 24 months of work experience in the vocation and one of the following:
- A bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university (or equivalent).
- Graduation from a College of Applied Arts and Technology (or equivalent).
- Graduation from a registered Ontario Career College (or equivalent).
**Skills and Competencies**
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems.
- Proficient in the technical and theory translation of the course.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Strong organizational, research, and accuracy skills.
- Sharp listening skills and critical thinking.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications.
- Must have sensitivity and ability to successfully interact with diverse populations.
- Committed to quality and a thorough approach to the work.
**Work Timings**
- **Daytime**: 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- **Evening**: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
