_**Preferred Protection & Response Services Ltd.**_is currently hiring licensed Manitoba security guards to fill a Part time/Casual Security guard position. **Please include a photo of your Manitoba Guard License when submitting your resume for consideration.** - ** Once a resume is submitted, please wait to be contacted for further information as the number of applicants is high this may take up to a week.**_ **Mandatory Requirements**: - A valid Manitoba Security License **is required.**: - SMART CHOICES certificate **is preferred.**: - Must be fluent in English both verbally and in writing - A valid Manitoba Drivers License (is preferred for specific assignments). - **Minimum 1 year** working experience in the security field. - Open availability (preferred) INCLUDING weekdays, weekends, day, evening & overnights. Site locations & times will vary. - **MUST** have own transportation (or be able to arrange for transportation after midnight at specific sites) - **MUST** be able to stand for 3-5 hours and be able to do foot patrols as required. - Strong sense of self - Integrity - Punctuality - Well spoken - Patient - Attentive - Respectful **Security Guard Responsibilities**: - Observe and Report any/all suspicious activities and incidents at respective sites. - Communicate with Supervisors, when required. - Remove unwanted persons from the property, when required. - Respond to emergency situations as required. - Occasional lifting may be required, (min. 50 lbs). - Providing our clients with exceptional customer service while remaining focused on the assets of the property at all times. - Must be available to work on all shifts: weekends, evenings and overnights, shifts will be "as required". - Confident in using communication equipment 2-way radio. - Standing and walking, which would be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. - Ability to approach difficult situations and resolve in a timely manner. - Ability to work well with others. **What We Offer**: - **Free Uniforms**: - **Paid Training**: - **Competitive Wages**: - **Fair and Equal Treatment of Staff**: - **Functional Equipment** **Job Types**: Part-time, Casual Part-time hours: 4-32 per week **Salary**: $14.15-$16.00 per hour **Benefits**: - On-site parking Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 10 hour shift - 12 hour shift - 4 hour shift - 8 hour shift - Evening shift - Night shift - On call - Weekends as needed Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Application question(s): - What type of shifts are you available to work?
