**Tell me about the job...**

As a Data Center Technician, you will report directly to the Data Center Manager and play a key role in the daily operations of our data centers across the Montreal region. You will be responsible for the deployment of new customer solutions, inventory management, and ensuring strict adherence to security protocols. A focus on maintaining high operational standards, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices will be essential to your success.

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Onsite coverage as a team in shifts and/or weekly on-call
- Deploy customer IT solutions in white spaces
- Ensure physical and remote security policies and procedures are being followed
- Document changes or incidents following the change or incident mgmt. process
- Perform scheduled walkthroughs and report any issues to the facility manager
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic OS and network level issues
- Answer customer requests in a professional and courteous manner
- Install, test copper & fiber cabling with quality
- Maintain an updated inventory of assets
- Manage the security access system
- Assist in documenting best practices & process improvements
- Interact with third party vendors & contractors
- Special projects may be assigned.

**Working Conditions...**

The role has standard working conditions in a Data Center type of environment with rotation shift schedule to support our 24/7 operations. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and manage stress. The role requires to work with challenging clients, work on shifts 12-hours shift, work on evenings, nights, or on weekends and being on-call.

Les tâches et responsabilités comprennent, mais ne sont pas limitées à:

- Couverture sur site en tant qu'équipe par roulement et/ou astreinte hebdomadaire
- Déployer les solutions informatiques des clients dans les espaces blancs
- S'assurer que les politiques et procédures de sécurité physique et à distance sont respectées
- Documenter les changements ou les incidents en suivant le processus de gestion des changements ou des incidents
- Effectuer des visites programmées et signaler tout problème au responsable de l'établissement
- Dépanner et résoudre les problèmes de base au niveau du système d'exploitation et du réseau
- Répondre aux demandes des clients de manière professionnelle et courtoise
- Installer, tester le câblage en cuivre et en fibre avec qualité
- Maintenir un inventaire à jour des équipements
- Gérer le système d'accès de sécurité
- Aider à documenter les meilleures pratiques et les améliorations de processus
