**Maintenance Supervisor**

**Education**:DEP/DDP Certification Preferred

**Experience**:

- 5-10 years progressive experience in multi-trade industrial maintenance;
- Previous leadership experience in multi-trade industrial.
- Machine shop experience on lath, milling machine, grinder.
- 60% work mostly related to Mechanical and 40% related to Electrical Ability to work hands on for repairs, lead and be involved with the group during downtime emergencies.

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- Machine shop experience and press room die set up troubleshooting.
- Excellent understanding/knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance principles;
- Excellent understanding of housekeeping and safety principles;
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to research and solve problems;
- General knowledge Microsoft Office Suite programs i.e. Word, Excel etc.
- Proficient math, reading and blueprint reading skills;
- Ability to present positive communications to departmental employees;
- Communication, coaching, counseling, and managing skills are essential with proven ability to influence behavior;
- Flexibility in working hours to be available when needed;
- OHS knowledge will be an advantage;
- Ability to read blueprints and detailed drawings/use AutoCAD.
- Able to work overtime, weekends and on-call when needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Take a leadership role on project work, suggesting and supporting process and equipment improvements, developing and executing plant plans, ensuring project completions with the best possible outcomes;
- Coach and develop technicians in the department by leading and executing effective training strategies, according to company standards to ensure top notch performance and team centered interactions with the production department;
- Foster an environment where employees will willingly make extra effort to exceed goals and look for opportunities to improve our processes and develop a lean, responsive, and knowledgeable workforce;
- Effectively troubleshoot processes to achieve company uptime goals;
- Take a ‘hands on’ approach, responding quickly to any breakdowns, discrepancies or non-conforming machine performance based on departmental procedures, to make corrections or adjustments to processes appropriately; must be available to work on the floor with employees.
- Set an example for all things safety related; provide accountability of all safety programs, participation in safety practices, wearing of PPE according to company standards and government regulations to facility a safe working environment;
- Communicate and provide compliance of all company strategic initiatives.
- Create PO’s and order required supplies as well as control inventory and maintain the Maintenance Software system for work orders etc.

**Connaissances et compétences**:

- Excellente compréhension/connaissance des principes de maintenance préventive et prédictive;
- Excellente compréhension des principes d'entretien et de sécurité;
- Attention méticuleuse aux détails et capacité à rechercher et à résoudre des problèmes;
- Connaissance générale des programmes de la suite Microsoft Office, c'est-à-dire Word, Excel, etc.
- Excellentes compétences en mathématiques, en lecture et en lecture de plans;
- Capacité à présenter des communications positives aux employés du département;
- Les compétences en matière de communication, de coaching, de conseil et de gestion sont essentielles et la capacité à influencer le comportement est avérée;
- Flexibilité dans les horaires de travail afin d'être disponible en cas de besoin;
- Des connaissances en matière de santé et de sécurité au travail seront un avantage;
- Capacité à lire des plans et des dessins détaillés/utiliser AutoCAD.
