**The Position**:
We are seeking a seasonal, full-time Second Cook to join our culinary team with an immediate start. Reporting to the Executive Chef and working closely with the Sous Chefs, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional meals to our members and guests - both in the Club’s restaurants and at special events. Responsibilities include working the service line, food preparation, and banquet support. Flexibility is essential, as shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a contract position running through September 30, 2025.

First located on Canadian Pacific Railway lands, the Club moved in 1960 to the ancestral site of the Musqueam Nation’s winter village. Over the years, we have proudly hosted prestigious events and world-class figures in golf and tennis. Today, our Club features an award-winning clubhouse, a highly ranked golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a fitness center, and a state-of-the-art golf performance facility.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook menu items for à la carte service, banquets, and special events, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
- Assist with daily prep tasks, following recipes and instructions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and support smooth service during busy periods.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and take direction from the Sous Chefs and Executive Chef.
- Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines; participate in regular cleaning and maintenance routines.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, checking for freshness and proper rotation, and report any issues with stock or supplies.
- Support buffet setups, carving stations, or other event stations during special functions.
- Participate in end-of-shift duties, including labeling and storing food, cleaning equipment, and prepping for the next day.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful kitchen environment by being dependable, professional, and team-oriented.

The Second Cook may be assigned other duties, as appropriate to their role, by any member of the management team from time to time.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Approximately 5 years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen; experience in an upscale or hospitality environment is an asset.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent hands-on experience; Red Seal Certification is an asset but not mandatory.
- Food Safe Level 1 (or equivalent) certification is required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina (ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs).
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

**Compensation and Benefits**:

- $23-$26 per hour (inclusive of gratuities), based on qualifications and experience
