Calgary, Canada Inglewood Golf and Curling Club Full time

**Overview**
Inglewood Golf & Curling Club is currently seeking and enthusiastic, detail orientated individual to fill a multi-faceted role within the turf and curling operations. This individual will work closely with the management team in all areas of the golf operations as well as the curling facility during the winter months. We are looking for someone who has a desire to learn and grow in all aspects of our operations. We are searching for someone who is a strong self-starter, has a passion for golf and curling and has a strong understanding of the importance of a team first approach.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Including, but not limited to the following:

- Assist in the implementation of all aspects of golf course maintenance, while adhering to our club’s maintenance and safety standard policies.
- Train staff on the safe operation of equipment.
- Lead small teams working on a variety of tasks.
- Perform daily maintenance practices and operating equipment.
- Irrigation start-up/shut down, use and repairs.
- Report daily to Superintendent and/or other members of the Leadership Team observations and ideas for the golf course.
- Assist the course mechanic when needed (setting reels, performing oil changes, small repairs, shop and yard organization, etc.).
- Perform routine checks on equipment, ensuring they are fully functional and ready for use.
- Check the quality of cut and equipment performance.
- Assist in the morning staging of equipment.
- Work within the curling operations and help supervise curling staff during the winter months.
- Assist with snow removal and shop projects during the winter months.

**Desired Experience**
- Golf Course Maintenance Experience (Preferably 2+ years, but not required)
- Knowledge of mechanical operations of golf equipment.
- Experience operating tractors, skid-steers, backhoes considered an asset.
- Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Experience as a Foreman or working as a Shop Hand considered an asset.
- Experience with curling considered and asset but not required.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 44 per week
