Transit Plus Operations Supervisor

Under the direction of the Manager of Client Services, the Transit Plus Operations Supervisor is responsible for the provision of on-street service, including overseeing the vehicle and driver scheduling system, ensuring appropriate level of vehicle resources to fulfill rider requests, oversight and approval of contractor payments, oversight and supervision of on-street inspectors, and resolution of customer and contractor complaints.

**As the **_Transit Plus_**_ Operations Supervisor _**you will**:

- Be responsible for the delivery of safe, cost effective and reliable Transit Plus services.
- Evaluate, investigate and respond to complaints/requests from councilors, customers, brokerage contractors, general public and other stakeholders.
- Oversee payments for service, collection of fines from drivers and contractors, and fees from customers related to “no shows” and “fare owing” charges.
- Participate in the preparation, issuing and evaluation of bids submitted for the provision of Transit Plus service and ongoing administration of the contract.
- Develop, coordinate and participate in the delivery of training and creation of training materials for the certification of Transit Plus drivers and brokerage contractors.
- Contribute to the overall operation of Transit Plus.
- Train and supervise direct reports.

**Your education and qualifications include**:

- A University degree, Diploma or Certificate in Business Management, Administration, HR Management, Operations Management or a related field.
- Approximately 3 - 4 years of experience in a Customer Service environment with progressive supervisory experience.
- Ability to effectively lead, motivate and function as a member of a diverse work team.
- Ability to independently make sound and immediate decisions.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints, problems and concerns.
- Ability to analyze operational problems, investigate and formulate immediate recommendations.
- General knowledge of City of Winnipeg roadways and public facilities.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Ability to train and instruct.
- Ability to function as a team leader in the continuous improvement process.
- Ability to deal tactfully and sensitively with special needs of customers, and confidential information.

**Conditions of employment**:

- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s Licence.
