Project Manager - Construction

Job Summary

We’re seeking a hands-on **Project Manager** to lead Taskmann’s expansion into construction and renovation projects. You will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of residential and light-commercial build and renovation jobs—ensuring they’re on time, on budget, and exceed our high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- **Project Planning & Coordination**: Develop detailed work plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for renovation, handyman, and construction projects.
- **Team & Subcontractor Management**: Hire, supervise, and mentor small crews and subcontractors; coordinate site activities and ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
- **Client Communication**: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients—providing regular updates, managing expectations, and ensuring 100% satisfaction.
- **Quality Control**: Conduct on-site inspections, enforce quality standards, and troubleshoot issues promptly to maintain Taskmann’s reputation for excellence.
- **Cost & Risk Management**: Monitor project costs, identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and implement change orders when necessary.
- **Reporting & Documentation**: Prepare progress reports, maintain project documentation, and present post-project evaluations with recommendations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- **Minimum 3-5 years** of hands-on experience managing residential or light-commercial construction/renovation projects.
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification is a strong asset.
- Deep knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and best practices within Nova Scotia.
- Proven ability to manage budgets of at least $50K per project and deliver on time.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Technical Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Buildertrend, Procore).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High level of accountability, adaptability, and client-focus.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
