**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
We are seeking a Payroll Representative who will be working as part of a team of payroll professionals. Participating in the processing of a bi-weekly computerized payroll, along with the continued maintenance of employee files for all Lakeridge Health employees in accordance with corporate policies and collective agreements. The incumbent will review time and attendance information for abnormalities and exceptions as they relate to pay. Will assist in processing of pay related documentation received from Human Resources and process in a timely manner for appropriate pay date, receive and respond to Payroll inquiries from any and all employees of Lakeridge Health. Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-secondary school diploma in Business or Finance or an approved combination of education, training and experience required;
- Proven experience administering payroll in a fully computerized environment;
- Canadian Payroll Association, completion or working towards Payroll Compliance Practitioner (preferred);
- Experience with Meditech payroll software (preferred);
- Related experience in a Health Care environment (preferred);
- Must have work experience in a large organization (processing pay for over 1,000 employees) for 2-4 years.
- Sound working knowledge of pay calculations including applicable CRA source deductions;
- Intermediate level computer skills including experience in MS Word and Excel(tested);
- Strong keyboarding skills (tested);
- Proven experience working in a fast paced, multi-tasked, deadline driven environment;
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal and client service skills;
- Demonstrated success in effectively organizing and prioritizing work assignments;
- Must have satisfactory performance record;

- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-services in this area; and;
- Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard;
